Short, and mostly limits.
Using this site means accepting what follows. Most of it describes what Signet does not promise, which is the part worth your attention.
What this is
Signet is a tool for stamping and checking fingerprints. You paste something, your browser hashes it, a key signs the hash, and you get a line of text. Everything else on this site explains that one exchange.
What a receipt proves
A receipt records that a digest existed in that shape at that moment and that one key vouched for it. It proves nothing about the quality, accuracy, legality or safety of whatever was hashed, and nothing about anything that happened outside this site.
Timestamps come from the issuer's clock. Nothing is published on a public chain, so no receipt carries an independent time. Treat every date on a receipt as a claim by whoever signed it.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. Cryptographic software can carry bugs, and this is young cryptographic software. Read the receipt format, write your own verifier, and check our answers against it before anything here carries weight in a decision that matters.
Your keys and your money
You control your wallet. Signet never asks for a private key, a seed phrase or a password, and it will never have a reason to. Anyone asking for one while claiming to be us is not us.
Signing a receipt is a message signature. It broadcasts nothing, spends no gas and transfers nothing.
The token
$SIGNET has not launched. There is no contract, no presale, no whitelist and no allocation. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell a token or a solicitation to buy one, and nothing here is financial advice.
When a contract exists it will be published on the token page first. Any address circulating before then is fraudulent.
Acceptable use
Do not use Signet to stamp material you have no right to, and do not present a receipt as proof of something it does not say. Since we never see your content, enforcement here rests on you rather than on us, which is a consequence of the design and not a loophole in it.
Changes
These terms change when the product does. A material change to what a receipt claims will be dated here and stated on the trust page rather than slipped into a paragraph.
The full list of limits lives on the trust page, and it is longer than this one on purpose.
